his summer it is a celebration in Downtown
Oakville. We are celebrating our country’s
birthday, our community members and
new additions to the summer season.
Plus, as always, there is lots of shopping, food, drink,
services and events to be enjoyed.

a commemorative tote bag we have created to
celebrate Canada 150 available to purchase at some
of your favourite Downtown Oakville shops.
What better way to enjoy the summer than on an outdoor patio? There are
a growing number of patios downtown – 25 in total, and we want to see
pictures of you enjoying the patios. Start your day with coffee and breakfast,
drop back for a burger lunch and then onto a lingering dinner. Be sure
to hashtag your pictures #PatioLifeOak for your chance to win Downtown
Oakville gift certificates.
In addition to unique shopping, it’s our business owners that make Downtown
Oakville special. Read up on how we are celebrating and highlighting the
people that make our community great. We will be introducing you to
business owners who have been in the downtown for over 25 years, new
additions to the downtown and all the in between that rounds out our
amazing community. Be sure to drop by and say “hi!” They are all a friendly
bunch.
We also can’t wait to celebrate the new addition to the summer events
season in Downtown Oakville. TD Songs of Summer Music & Art will be
taking place on Saturday, August 19, 2017. This community event will feature
entertainment from a variety of music genres plus performing and visual art
experiences
