My kids are already asking for hot chocolate on a daily basis. Good thing I have this tasty but healthy recipe on hand. Give it a try – it’s so much nicer than a sugary, processed store-bought version.
This recipe is courtesy of my 2 sisters (who both enjoy gluten free and an overall much healthier diet than I do).
16 ounces of hot water
2 tablespoons real unsweetened cocoa powder (or more, to taste)
1 teaspoon honey (or more, to taste)
1/4 cup milk (optional…may substitute with coconut milk)
Add sweetener and milk to taste. For an extra treat, add a bit of vanilla, almond, or hazelnut extract per cup.
That’s it! Drink away! Enjoy in the morning instead of a coffee, or any time of day.
