Oakville Farmers’ Market on George Street

Shop local and find fresh, seasonal produce, flowers, baked goods and locally made food and products at the new location of the Oakville Farmers’ Market (115 George Street) every Saturday, rain or shine, until Saturday October 29 from 8am until 2pm. Visit www.farmfreshmarkets.ca for more information.

“George Street will be closed to traffic to provide a true market experience,” states William Blyleven, Oakville Farmers’ Market founder.  “There is something for everyone at the Oakville Farmers’ Market.  We feature Ontario grown fruit and vegetables, fresh cut flowers, organic soap, honey, eggs, maple syrup, smoked meat, pies, wine and much more!”

Pick up large-pot perennials and hanging baskets for your garden and stock up on fresh Ontario-grown asparagus, beans, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, strawberries, cherries, lettuce, mushrooms, peppers, radishes, spinach, tomatoes, cherries and strawberries. Check when your favourite fruit and vegetables will arrive at Oakville Farmers’ Market on the ‘Ontario Produce Availability’ chart at www.farmfreshmarkets.ca.

“We strive to have the freshest produce available at the Oakville Farmers’ Market,” says Blyleven. “The inventory is always changing based on what is growing seasonally. If you are unsure how to store or prepare the fruit and vegetables, ask the vendor, they have great tips and advice.”
