Firefighters For A Good Cause At The Darling Home For Kids’ Annual Gala

Oakville’s brave Fire Fighters stepped up to serve their community this past month, but this time it was in the kitchen as opposed to a local emergency. In support of The Darling Home for Kids’ annual Comfort and Joy Gala, twenty-one lucky ladies bid on the priceless 2013 auction prize to have the Oakville Professional Fire Fighters Association take over their kitchen and serve dinner.

Arriving in style, the Fire Fighters drove up to a local Oakville residence in their 1948 LeFrance open cab fire truck and were put to work immediately! After some photos and a look around the fire truck, the Fire Fighters were tasked with their duties for the evening – serving a delicious meal donated by the Fire Hall Cool Bar Hot Grill and pouring cocktails throughout the evening. Guests also came away with a review of fire safety skills and awareness.
