Tour de Halton 2014, 3070 Neyagawa Blvd, Oakville. Tour de Halton riders of all levels can enjoy a safe, scenic spring bike ride through Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills while raising much need funds for the new Oakville Hospital.

43rd Annual Burlington Rib & Lobster Fest, 519 Drury Ln, Burlington. New this year: ribs! Plus enjoy East Coast Lobster, BBQ Chicken, salads and dessert. Entertainment provided by USA Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, James Anthony Band and popular guest singer, Donnie Meeker. Also a friendly competition for the best-decorated tables/costumes, a full cash bar, a 50/50 draw, door prizes and gaming room.

Tim Hortons Carnival, 2355 Trafalgar Road, Oakville. A fun day with lots of games like spin-a-wheel, pop-a-balloon, hook toss, birthday game, fish pond, face painting, squeegy kids and our ever popular Bbq.All proceeds go towards Tim Hortons children’s foundation.

Green Up Event at Beachway Park, 1080 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington. Thanks to the generous support of the Great Lakes Guardian Community Fund, up to 100 volunteers from the community will have the opportunity to participate in habitat stewardship activities (beach litter clean up, non-native invasive plant removal and plant, native shrub and tree planting) at Beachway Park on the morning of May 31st.

“Painting the Town Recycled”200 Lakeshore Rd. East, Oakville. The Chartwell House Early Learning Centre, Kindergarten class, participated in an annual EcoKIDS challenge. From this challenge The Chartwell House’s Kindergarteners inspired the entire school to create beautiful works of recycled art. An art gallery viewing to celebrate all of their efforts with recycled art pieces will be showcased in Downtown Oakville’s Town Square

Smoke Wagon Blues Band at Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington. Featuring funky blues harmonica, whiskey stained vocals, slick guitar work and a solid rhythm section, Corey Lueck & The Smoke Wagon Blues Band have been performing on Festival stages for over a decade.

Turkey Rhubarb at Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington. Turkey Rhubarb is Dale Behnke (mandolin), Gerry Dion (guitar) and Paul Fralick (guitar). They sing in English, French and Spanish and perform traditional children’s songs from North America, Mexico, Antigua, England, Scotland and Ireland.
