Sharlene Plewman, director of the Downtown Oakville BIA, says that
whether you’re a visitor from out of town or one of the locals, you’ll get
pulled in by the sense of community. “People love that you can stroll
down the street and exchange hello’s with the other shoppers and be
greeted by name when you walk into a store,” says Plewman. “And
who doesn’t enjoy seeing all the unique dog dishes left outside by
store owners?”

around, whether you come down to buy something specific
or just visit a coffee shop.”
