Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and More Than 60 Participating Businesses

Calling all Burlington goblins and ghouls to Downtown on Saturday, October 31st to enjoy the fourth annual Treats in Our Streets event. Families are welcome by businesses to trick or treat throughout the downtown, and take part in activities from 10 am to 1 pm.

 Treats in Our Streets kicks off at 10 am at both Civic Square and Emma’s Back Porch, where trick or treaters will receive a complimentary treat bag, and route map. Look for the “Treat Stop” pumpkin window decal in more than 60 businesses along the route.

 New this year, presented by the businesses of Village Square, is a petting zoo and pony rides! All activities are complimentary, however, a donation is optional benefitting the United Way 2015 campaign.  Kids can also participate in Halloween activities while mom and dad enjoy a treat courtesy of Lake of Bays Brewery.

 The Burlington Downtown Business Association is offering activities for families at each launch location:

 City Hall

   Complimentary Kids’ Face Painting

   Halton Police Safety on-site

   Kid Zone in the Lodge 11am – 2pm

   Crafts and Colouring for kids

   Skate and Swim pass from City of Burlington for each child (in costume)

Halloween Spooktacular. Saturday October 17h and 24th, take a trip to the Halton Radial Railway. Walk through the haunted car barn and travel in the old, creaky streetcars along the mainline. Costumes encouraged, reservations not required.
