The Rotary Centennial pond is now open!
“We hope Burlington residents will enjoy skating with their friends and family during the holiday season and all winter,” said Chris Glenn, director of parks and recreation. “The pond overlooks Lake Ontario and is a great way to get active and enjoy Burlington’s waterfront.”
Admission is free to skate on the Rotary Centennial Pond, which opened in 2006. Approximately 7,000 skaters use the pond each season. The pond is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with patrollers working on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10am to 10pm and on weekdays from 5 to 10pm.
Skaters are reminded that skates must be worn on the ice and that children six years and under must wear a CSA-approved helmet.
