Donate to Burlington Flood Relief @ downtown events this weekend

Burlington, Ont — Flood information will be available in downtown Burlington this weekend at two events to help raise awareness and relief funds following the extreme storm of August 4.

Flood-related information will be available on August 23 starting at 1 p.m. at an information table set up during the following events:

Saturdays in the Street
Elgin Street and Brant Street
burlingtondowntown.ca

Marques d’Elegance Street Fest
Brant Street (Lakeshore Road to Maria Street)
marquesdelegance.ca

Drop by for a chance to win gift certificates and other items worth over $1000, donated by downtown restaurants and retailers.

Other ways to help:

  • Give to the Burlington Flood Relief fund. Call 905-635-3138, email uway@uwaybh.ca, visit the United Way in person at 3425 Harvester Rd, Unit 107, Burlington, or go to uwaybh.ca.
  • Post items or services available for donation on the city’s Community Bulletin Board at burlington.ca/flood.
  • Volunteer to clean up homes after the flood with Samaritan’s Purse by calling 905-592-1874 or registering online at IAFF1552.org.
