This event is just one of the many ways the Foundation is raising awareness for all the healthy local foods Ontario farmers provide.”

In return, the Greenbelt gives back much to Ontario, including $9.1 billion in economic benefits and $2.6 billion in ecosystem services annually. As a leader in supporting local food, the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation has provided numerous grants to help farmers in the Greenbelt be more successful; to enhance environmental protection; and to strengthen local economies.
