Burlington, ON Sound of Music Festival needs people like you. The Festival is looking for energetic, fun volunteers to help with this year’s event. Each year, the Festival requires the help of over 1000 volunteers, in 12 different areas from park set-up to clean-up and everything in between.
Schedules varies from 3 to 8 hours in duration. There are many different volunteer options and we can also accommodate small groups or businesses looking to work together. In particular, we require adults to help serve in our Licensed Areas and volunteers to help our Eco Team keep the park clean. As a volunteer you will be helping out a fantastic FREE community event. It’s because of all the work of all the volunteers that the Festival has been so successful over the years. Volunteers receive a Festival t-shirt, food and drink while volunteering and the Festival Shuttle Bus is free for volunteers. Orientation night is Wednesday, June 11, register now and join us for a night of carnival rides and fun before the Festival starts. Students can obtain up to all 40 hours in one weekend of volunteering to satisfy high school graduation requirements. The Festival awards two, $500 bursaries annually to students who are enrolled in a post-secondary institution for fall admission.
June 7th, 12th-15th, 2014 will mark Sound of Music Festival’s 35th year. Every year in June, Burlington comes alive with Canada’s Largest Free Music Festival. Over 200,000 people come to enjoy the biggest annual gathering of music by the lake and enjoy free concerts spanning all genres. Through the generosity and support of sponsors and the dedication of volunteers, the event continues to be free for music lovers of all ages.
