Winners will have their haiku poems published in the exhibition catalogue which will be launched at the closing reception. Burlington Mall E-Waste Collection April 23 – 27. Bring all unwanted home electronics, except appliances, to Burlington Mall Wednesday April 23 through Sunday April 27 during regular mall hours for free, safe disposal. No paint or car batteries please. Small and medium-sized items will be collected inside Burlington Mall in bins at Guest Services. Larger items can be brought to the outside collection area set-up in the north parking lot along Fairview St. on Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27 during regular mall hours.

Arts Open House and Craft Sale, 1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville
Sheridan students and alumni will be showcasing their work at an open house and craft sale on Saturday, April 26 at Sheridan’s Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. Attendees will see arts students in action – the event includes a glass-blowing demonstration, screenings of student films, and a live news broadcast by journalism students. You can get your caricature drawn by a Sheridan Animation student or learn more about a Sheridan arts program by chatting with students and coordinators. Glass, ceramic, textile, and furniture artwork by graduating students will also be on display, and many unique art and craft pieces by current students and alumni will be available for purchase.

The Canadian Cancer Society Great Ride ‘n’ Stride is a non-competitive, pledge-based fundraising event organized by the Society and held in a number of communities across Ontario. Participants can choose to ride their bikes, walk, run or roller blade routes ranging between 5 and 10 km.
