What’s on this weekend: April 19 – 20

There are some fun Easter-themed events taking place this weekend searching for eggs (for pets too), brunch at the RBG and Many Frogs Peeping.

In the Garden: Claudette Losier, Wayne Moore, Victoria Pearce & Susan Rankin. As part of the In the Garden exhibition, you are invited to participate in a Haiku Poetry Contest. Winners will have their haiku poems published in the exhibition catalogue which will be launched at the closing reception. Come and sit in our garden and become inspired by the art of Victoria Pearce, Claudette Losier, Wayne Moore and Susan Rankin.

To participate in the contest, visit the In the Garden exhibition beginning April 12, 2014, and write a haiku inspired by the show. Then submit your haiku before April 30, 2014.

Bronte Bunny Trail Easter Eggstravaganza, Bronte Harbour. Participating stores will be marked with balloons, and will have chocolates and treats to hand out.  Guests will receive a map, and must visit each location to receive their treat and a stamp for their map.  Once the map is complete and they have filled out the ballot, they will be entered in a draw for a grand prize!,

There will also be an Easter Bunny circulating the area for pictures and some locations will offer live music, or activities as well.

Easter Brunch @ RBG. RBG’s famous Easter Brunch returns. Stroll through the Gardens and catch some early blooms, then join us for a delicious spread. There are 2 seating times: 10am and 10m.Reservations Required. 905-527-1158 ext. 513.

Springridge Farm Easter Festival, 7256 Bell School Line Milton. Experience the magic of Easter with activities the whole family will enjoy. Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from 10am-4pm, the Easter Bunny will be wiggling his nose, crunching carrots and of course, hiding eggs at the farm.

 K9 Easter Egg Hunt, 1011 Upper Middle Rd, Oakville. 1st An Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs and Pet Parents. A chance to have the whole family out enjoy the spring weather. Teats and Raffle Prizes.

Easter Egg Extravaganza! Mountsberg Conservation Area. Join us for an Easter Egg Extravaganza at Mountsberg Conservation Area! Plenty of fun activities including a truly giant Easter egg hunt suitable for all ages. Meet the  spring babies in the farm yard and try your hand at bubble making.  Check out the Birds of Prey and the Wildlife Walkway and then burn off some energy in the play barn!

Season of Many Frogs Peeping, Crawford Lake, Milton. Discover wildflower wonders in Crawford Lake’s beautiful woodlands, fascinating video presentations, hands-on discoveries in the reconstructed Iroquoian Village, seasonal discovery hunt and craft making.
