BURLINGTON, ON – Did you know that Burlington is home to not one but two amazing chocolatiers? Both Casteleyn Belgian Chocolatiers and Walker’s Chocolates call Burlington home and within their walls create fresh and delicious chocolates that must be sampled. Not only does Burlington boast world-class chocolatiers, we are also home to many businesses that feature chocolate, from the sweet goodness of artisan food products to the indulgence of a chocolate spa treatment.
We welcome you to experience the Burlington Chocolate Trail.
Whether you are planning a girl’s day out, a romantic getaway or a family fun day, the Burlington Chocolate Trail is a great way to get out and have a delicious experience. This self-guided trail is the perfect outlet for the chocoholic in you with samples and discounts along the way to tempt all your senses. While on the trail, you can indulge in a wide variety of chocolate treats, artisan food and drink and spa treatments. The trail highlights local chocolatiers and artisan food producers with a variety of chocolate treats, restaurants featuring decadent chocolate desserts and boutiques and spas to pamper yourself in chocolate treatments.
This year the chocolate trail is also featuring special prix fixe chocolate tasting menus at select Burlington restaurants. What could be better than a multi-course dinner with a focus on chocolate in each course? From April 21-27 at West Plains Bistro and then in the fall Queen’s Head Pub will be featured from September 17-23 and Test Kitchen from November 12-18. For more information, menus and how to reserve your table, please visit the chocolate trail website.
Be sure to visit the factory open house at Walker’s Chocolates (Harvester Rd. location) on April 5 from 10am-3pm. Watch for other chocolate events throughout the year by visiting the Burlington Chocolate Trail website for participating businesses, offers, and events plus a downloadable brochure. The trail runs with its current participants to December 31, 2014.
