Santa Arrives @ the Burlington Mall

Santa on Schedule for Arrival by Helicopter on Saturday November 16!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: North Pole – It’s ‘game on’ for Santa’s arrival by helicopter at Burlington Mall, Saturday, November 16.

Keeping with tradition there will be hot chocolate and free gifts for the first 1200 children and the Tartan Terrors will be on hand to pipe the jolly old elf through the mall to his cabin following a ‘meet and greet’ on the helicopter landing pad.

Santa’s helicopter will touch down at Burlington Mall at 10 a.m. in the south parking lot along Prospect St. Once settled into his cabin, Santa will be get right down to business, making himself available for the first photos of the Christmas season and listening to children’s ‘wish lists’.

Santa _ HelicopterTo the end of November Santa will be available for photos on weekends including Friday (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.), Saturdays (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sundays (noon to 5 p.m.).

Beginning December 1, Santa’s photo hours will be extended to include weekdays and longer weekend hours. Santa will be available from 10 a.m. to  8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Monday, December 23 will be the final day for photos with Santa.

A schedule of break times which take place during the photo hours will posted at Santa’s cabin in Centre Court and on the Burlington Mall web site, along with reindeer feeding times, the Mall’s complete schedule of extended shopping hours which comes into effect on Sunday, December 1 and a Santa activity page for the kids.

In his spare time Santa will be keeping everyone up-to-date on all the seasonal activities taking place at Burlington Mall by sharing posts on the Mall’s Facebook page.

For added fun this holiday season ‘Fluffy’ and ‘Fido’ can also have their photo taken with Santa. Pet photos will be available after regular mall hours on Sunday November 17 and Sunday November 24, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Pets should be brought to the south side entrance of Burlington Mall by Cogeco. No exotic pets such as reptiles or birds, please.

The Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain and the United Way’s gift wrapping service will both return to Burlington Mall this holiday season. Toy Mountain will begin accepting unwrapped toy donations on Tuesday, November 26 and the United Way, for a donation, will be set up to wrap mall purchases as of Friday, December 6.
