This morning my traveling companion and I went to Crawford Lake. Although there were a few pesky bugs in the air, it didn’t matter because it was such a beautiful day to walk around the lake’s perimeter.
We passed a couple of families and their dogs along the way. We listened to the soundtrack of a lone loon on the lake, birds chirping and a tree frog peeping as we walked.
When we’d finished there were several school groups getting their guided tours of the lake and the property, ready to learn about the mysteries of the lake itself, the history of the Crawford family and about the reconstructed Iroquois Village.
