About Christmas Glow
Celebrate the Warmth of the Season
Glow is the largest indoor Christmas festival in Barrie.
Bring together the people you love to stroll, laugh and play under the twinkle of nearly a million lights. Our playgrounds and interactive features will entertain the kids for hours, while Glow’s illuminated sculptures are the perfect backdrop for selfies and holiday family photos. And you can pick your own Christmas tree at our very special Holly Jolly tree lot.
Our Christmas Market showcases the best local artisans and boutique businesses, alongside delicious options from food trucks and a licensed bar.
It’s all the magic and wonder of an outdoor festival, hosted inside our cozy and spacious venue.

Founded in 1952, Barrie’s King Edward Choir began as a womens’ choir, taking its name from the school in which they practised. Under the direction of Jean Dobson, it blossomed into a group encompassing all voices and today is a mixed group of 45 singers committed to creating beautiful music in a passionate, informed and evocative manner. The choir is led by Artistic Director Oliver Balaburski, well-known in the Barrie music community.
Our mandate is to offer choristers and audiences alike opportunities to experience a broad range of choral music, including contemporary, Canadian and world music, while introducing more a cappella singing to our repertoire. We continue to collaborate with other artists and strive to create educational opportunities for youth in our community. New members are welcome to join at any time throughout the year.
